The objective was to bring them back and drive incremental in-app purchase revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were presented with a <strong>D30 ROAS KPI <\/strong>to measure the success of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/persona.ly\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Toshifumi-Kobayashi-Insight-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"226\" height=\"282\" src=\"https:\/\/persona.ly\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Toshifumi-Kobayashi-Insight-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4013\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">&#8220;By running multiple DSPs simultaneously under identical attribution conditions, we recognized the high predictive accuracy of <a href=\"http:\/\/Persona.ly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Persona.ly<\/a>&#8216;s advanced data-driven DSP and made bold budget allocations. By precisely targeting the core audience and gradually expanding to potential user segments, we strategically expanded our reach to other high-value segments, achieving both outstanding ROAS and massive campaign scale.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite><strong>Toshifumi Kobayashi, Digital Marketing Division Specialist at Insight<\/strong> <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>Programmatic Re-engagement Process <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the launch of the re-engagement campaign with NHN, we leveraged our proprietary<a href=\"https:\/\/persona.ly\/en\/programmatic-re-engagement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <strong>Live Audiences segmentation engine<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; available to clients at no additional cost &#8211; to build a custom audience based on users\u2019 in-app behavior and inactivity window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Live Audiences<\/em> segmentation engine classifies users across multiple signals, including activity level, purchase history, and intent. It integrates directly and securely with clients\u2019 first-party data, eliminating the need for third-party tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Audiences are updated <strong>in real time<\/strong>, enabling immediate exclusion of returning users and instant inclusion of newly qualified audience &#8211; an essential advantage in highly competitive gaming categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our programmatic DSP is directly integrated with global tier-1 ad exchanges and local Japanese ad exchanges, including Supership and Fluct. We process <strong>over 4 million ad auctions per second<\/strong>. These integrations and processing capabilities enable us<strong> to reach most users outside the \u201cwalled gardens\u201d <\/strong>globally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the beginning of the campaign, we outperformed the <strong>ROAS D30 KPI three times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we collected enough data, our ML-driven programmatic bidder identified users with a high likelihood of returning to the game and generating additional in-app purchases, as well as those unlikely to convert.<br><br>We then refined targeting to focus on users most likely to convert, further enhancing overall campaign performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leveraging a recent enhancement to our programmatic DSP <strong>consolidating multiple audience signals into a unified vector<\/strong>, we developed <strong>a custom ML targeting model. <\/strong>This enables precise targeting of high-intent users and accurate bidding based on their perceived value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The enhancement has already delivered incremental efficiency gains across multiple client campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In #<em>Compass\u2019s <\/em>case, it enabled us to significantly outperform the client\u2019s KPI while scaling the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>Key Success Factors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3>ROAS D30 &#8211; Persona.ly Results vs. Benchmark<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our ML-driven DSP runs on a private dedicated cloud, processing over 4 million auctions per second and reaching the majority of users in the Japanese market.<br>This technological setup enables faster data processing, eliminates throttling, and reduces costs.
