Our Ad Formats

This article will introduce you to the variety of ad formats available with our SDK. If you have any additional questions about a format, feel free to contact us here. Note that the description below is not technical, so if you’re interested in implementing our SDK, please follow the integration instructions found here.

Rewarded Moments

Besides offering the more standard ad formats like video interstitials and banners, our SDK offers rewarded ad formats that are proving to be much more effective ways to introduce users to the products they are most likely to enjoy.

What we call rewarded moments, produce higher ad engagement rates than other formats like interstitial videos by encouraging user interaction with the app’s virtual currency. These formats fit amazingly well into virtually any mobile game and improve the user experience compared to static banners and other formats.

Rewarded Playable Ads

This format lets you reward your users with in-game currency for choosing to play a playable ad. The user is rewarded as soon as he’s done playing.

Check out this ad we created for Jackpot Party:

What better way is there to showcase an app than letting the user test it out himself? Playable ads are just that – a taste, a demo of an app’s features packed into a short scripted experience, designed to highlight its best qualities.

Rewarded Video

This format lets you reward your users with in-game currency for watching videos. The user is rewarded as soon as he finishes watching the video.

Check out this short video showing how our rewarded video format works:

If your app lets users earn virtual currency, using that currency to encourage your users to view video ads is a pretty good idea. In fact, user surveys show that this ad format is significantly favored by users over static banners or interstitial videos.

Implementing our SDK will let you choose when to display videos and determine how and to reward your users for viewing them.

Offer Wall

This format lets you reward your users with in-game currency in exchange for performing simple activities like watching videos, downloading apps and filling out surveys.

Here’s an example of how an offer wall looks like:

By providing your non-paying users with an abundance of ways to generate in-game currency, an offer wall can help you generate higher user LTV and increase engagement.

Rewarded Popup

This format lets you reward your users with in-game currency for completing an action. The user is rewarded when he’s finished performing the action.

Rewarded pop-ups can function very similarly to rewarded video – after the user initiation (for example, clicking on “Get More Lives” inside your game), the user is instantly presented with a simple action to perform and gets rewarded as soon as he’s finished.

Here’s an example of how a rewarded pop-up can look like:

Highlighting a specific offer to your users, if used in correct timing, can produce great conversion rates, by reducing the number of choices a user needs to make in order to get the reward and by providing him with the most engaging and interesting offers. The user gets an offer at the times you define and gets rewarded for performing an action. Simple and straightforward.

Interactive Moments

Interactive ads have shown to induce more user engagement which benefits both the advertisers, who acquire more invested users after they have tried out their app, and chose to install after enjoying it and the developers, who choose to display interactive ad formats inside their apps and generate higher eCPMs.

Playable Ads

This format lets you display playable ads to your users in different strategic placements inside your app. The user can opt-out after 5 seconds or keep playing for another 15-20 seconds (in average).

Check out this playable ad we created for Bingo Bash:

Rather than burdening your users, playable ads can maintain and even increase immersion simply by keeping the user active and playing. Playable ads have been shown to produce higher engagement rates than other prominent formats like video or static banners, as well as generate higher eCPMs.

Interstitial

This format lets you display video ads to your users. The user can choose to follow the video to its target destination or close it and return to using your app.

Here’s an example of how an interstitial can look like:

Interstitial video ads are usually displayed in between activities, for example, between levels of a game. Being more compelling and appealing to users than static or animated banners, video ads generate higher eCPM and lead to less disruption in user experience.

Native Ads

Simply put, native ads are ones that appear to blend in naturally with the rest of your app. They are designed that way in order to avoid the negative connotations and almost automatic reaction a lot of users have toward traditional ads. When the user is exposed to commercial messaging that’s wrapped in a style he is used to consuming, he is significantly more likely to consider the offers advertised.

Whether you already created native placements that are ready to wrap ad content or still dabbling around with the thought, we’re able to help you get started and implement our SDK to help you ramp up your user LTV.

App Wall

This format lets you display a list of complementary applications your users might be interested in installing.

Here’s an example of how an app wall looks like:

An app wall is another great monetization solution for your non-paying users. Users that use your application all the time are likely to be interested in installing other applications that compliment it, especially if you’ve shown those applications do just that.
