Intro Interview Series: Meet Eve

In the past few weeks, we introduced our Japan country manager, Keiko, and our Korea country manager, KaHee. Now, in the final interview of the series, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to our China country manager.

Eve is fun, interesting, and kind. She has plenty of experience in the field and in business in general, and a positive attitude even when facing difficult challenges. The team is always happy to learn from her experience.

Without any further ado, here’s my short interview with Eve Avgil, country manager, China.

Let’s start by getting to know you a little bit – what’s your background?

Hi, I’m Eve. I am a native Chinese,  and I have been living in Israel for 15 years. I’ve lived the longest in Tel Aviv and I really enjoyed my time living there – it’s one of the most memorable times of my life.

What brought you to Israel?

For most of the Chinese people, Israel is full of mysteries. I got to know some Israelis and heard stories about Israel during my work in China, and those stories made me wonder – what makes Israel and Israelis so different and special? This curiosity brought me to Israel.

What drove you to join Persona.ly?

Before I joined Persona.ly, I heard great things about company’s founders and their activities. When I first came to the offices for the interview, I felt a great vibe from the team and I was attracted by the work atmosphere, which drove me to want to join immediately.

Eve Avgil, Country Manager - China, at Persona.ly

‎Can you tell us a bit about your professional history?

I have been working in the tech industry for over 10 years. I have vast experience in both telecommunications and mobile. In my time in the industry, my colleagues taught me plenty of knowledge that I could not teach myself by reading. This has benefited me tremendously in my career.

Can you tell us a little bit about your childhood in your native country?

Like most children in the country, my childhood was spent doing endless homework and studying, so I could get high scores, go to best school and university, which is perceived to be the best course of life there.

What challenges you? What do you enjoy the most while working?

The biggest challenge is how much our market is unpredictable. I always try to do my best to be ready for the unexpected changes. I really enjoy working as part of a team where each member supports each other – achieving goals together makes me very happy.

What do you find the most interesting in ad-tech?

The fact that things can be created so quickly. At Persona.ly we build many different platforms and solutions for our partners and ourselves for internal use. In our business, when things are done right, you can already have a product up and running while others are still thinking about a good solution.

Our company strives to be ahead of the curve and I enjoy explaining our complex technical solutions to problems in a way that’s easy to understand.

What are your thoughts about business partnerships between Israel and China in general?

In the mobile advertising industry, China and Israel have built up an inseparable and strategic partnership on the basis of a win-win situation.

Enhancing the understanding between the nations and strengthening the integrity of the relationship will allow the cooperation between the two countries to grow even further.

As a country manager, what are your goals for 2018?

My main goals are to establish our brand in the Chinese mobile industry and to increase our reach by sharing our technology and services with additional partners.
